NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Ellipse Parking Restrictions October 25, 2025At the request of the United States Secret Service the National Park Service is closing certain parkland near the White House to vehicular access to ensure public safety as the USSS hosts a Trunk or Treat event on areas of the Ellipse paved roadway on October 25, 2025. The National Park Service is imposing a temporary restriction to privately owned vehicles parking on or driving along the east side of the Ellipse Circle from the northeast turnoff to the entrance at 16th St, NW, and Constitution Avenue, NW; as well as the southeast access road connecting the Ellipse to Constitution Avenue, NW on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from approximately 12:00 p.m. (Noon) through approximately 8:00 p.m. The restricted areas described above are delineated on the attached map and by fencing. Violation is prohibited. The park area restrictions come at the request of the United States Secret Service to ensure safety for event participants and guests public during this well publicized event. Persons parking, driving, or otherwise using these park areas via vehicle should remove their vehicles from these restricted park areas by 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
