Whitman Mission National Historic Site is a site of historical and cultural significance but like other national parks there is a diverse assortment of wildlife found throughout the park. You can create a checklist of many of the animals to keep track of what you might see while visiting.

Over 200 species of animals have been seen within the park boundaries. Dawn and dusk are often the best times for animal viewing. If you plan to see some wildlife, make sure to try those times and don't forget the binoculars. Check out the pages below to explore the animals found at Whitman Mission National Historic Site.

    Mammals at Whitman Mission NHS range as small as squirrels and as large as moose.

    With over 200 different species, birds are the most common wildlife spotted at the park.
