Your Fee Dollars Matter

Thank you for supporting your public lands. The National Park Service collects Recreation Fees under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA), providing a vital source of revenue for improving facilities and services for park visitors. Here at Wupatki National Monument, 100% of the fee dollars collected are used to support the park. This means that the money you hand to the ranger in the visitor center is being put to excellent use here at Wupatki! All of these projects are important to the continued preservation of your National Parks.

Current Projects at Wupatki Funded with Your Fee Dollars

  • Maintain trails, fencing, and erosion control measures on trails.
  • Maintain Sunset Crater/Wupatki Loop Road, to include road shoulder brushing and drainage.
  • Maintain off-road vehicle fencing to protect park resources.

Recently Completed Projects Funded by Your Fee Dollars
