Driving to Big Hole:

• From I-15 at Dillon, MT, take Highway 278 northwest for 65 miles to Wisdom, MT. Turn west on MT Highway 43 and drive west for 10 miles to the battlefield.
• From I-15 at Divide, MT, take Highway 43 west for 62 miles southwest to the battlefield.
• From I-90 at Missoula, MT, take US 93 south for 93 miles through the Bitterroot Valley to Lost Trail Pass. Turn east on Highway 43 and drive east 17 miles to the battlefield.
• From Salmon, ID, take US 93 north for 46 miles north to Lost Trail Pass. Turn east on Highway 43 and drive east for 17 miles east to the battlefield.
