How to Support Black Canyon

Thank you for your interest in supporting Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Here are some ways you can help support the park.

Purchase a park pass

Funds collected through sales of weekly and annual park passes directly support projects at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Learn more about your fee dollars at work.

Volunteer

Volunteers contribute valuable hours to the park as camp hosts and information assistants. Learn more about volunteering and opportunities here.

Submit comments in park planning

Participate in public comment periods on park planning documents. Share your ideas on how Black Canyon and other national park sites can best be managed to preserve them for future generations. Documents currently open for review are listed here.

Become a friend of the park

Friends of the Black Canyon and Curecanti is a non-profit that provides strategic investments in programs and initiatives that help protect, enhance, and preserve the resources of both parks.

Shop at the bookstore

Western National Parks Association (WNPA) is a non-profit organization that supports Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and dozens of other national park sites. WNPA operates a bookstore at the South Rim Visitor Center. A percentage of each purchase made at the park directly benefits Black Canyon through projects, internship funding, and more.

Donate

Monetary donations are graciously accepted and directly benefit the park. These funds are used for interpretation, visitor services and safety, as well as resource management programs. If desired, those making a donation may specify a use for their money.
