Lodging & Restaurants

The closests hotels and motels are in Willcox, AZ (45 minutes). Willcox provides a variety of independent and chain restaturants.

Sunizona & Sunsites (Pearce), Cochise, Dragoon, and Elfrida (30-60 minute drive) have a variety of small, independent restaurants, inns, and bed and breakfasts.

Further afield (more than 1 hour drive), Portal to the East, Bisbee and Tombstone to the West, and Douglas to the South have a lot to offer. The county tourism council offers additional information about the local area at ExploreCochise.com.

Groceries & Gas

Willcox, AZ is the closest town with a full grocery store and multiple gas stations. Gas can usually also be obtained in Sunizona, Elfrida, or Bowie.

Stock up on food, ice, beverages, and supplies before coming to the park. The park has a gift shop which offers lots of souvenirs and limited packaged snacks and water.

Camping Outside the Park

Public Lands

Coronado National Forest has great dispersed camping on Pinery Canyon Road (6 miles on a gravel road). Additional campgrounds are located over the mountain range in Cave Creek / Portal, AZ (90 minute drive).

Private Campgrounds

Sunizona and Bowie are the closest communities with RV parks. Willcox, AZ has multiple campgrounds. Private campgrounds may provide pull through RV sites, hookups, dump stations, and water that our historic campground cannot.

Camping in the Park

Bonita Canyon Campground is great for those with tents and truck campers. Some sites can accommodate a small RV or trailer up to 29 feet. If you don't like narrow back in sites or have a larger vehicle, consider the private campgrounds above.
