How often do you plan to visit national parks in the next 12 months?

If you don't qualify for a discounted America the Beautiful pass, we recommend choosing an entrance pass based on your trip plans.

Purchase and pickup locations

Order Online, Receive by Mail

To receive your pass by mail, order online at the USGS Online Store . Online orders are for physical passes, not digital passes, and may take up to three weeks to be processed and delivered. Order receipts may not be used in place of a physical pass. We recommend ordering at least three weeks in advance of your visit, or picking up a pass in person instead.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

Bus Fees

Sightseeing by bus is the primary way to experience Denali in the summer. There are two types of buses:

  • Non-narrated transit buses: The entrance fee is not included in the price of a transit bus ticket. In addition to purchasing a bus ticket, you will need to pay the individual entrance fee, purchase a pass, or bring your current annual or lifetime pass with you. Transit bus tickets are free for those age 15 and under.

  • Narrated tour buses: The $15 individual entrance fee is included in the price of a tour bus ticket. If you have an annual or lifetime pass (i.e., an Interagency Pass or the Denali Annual Pass), you are entitled to a refund of the fee. Go to the Denali Bus Depot or Riley Creek Mercantile with your pass, photo ID, and bus reservation information to receive the refund.

Where to Buy Bus Tickets

Reservations for bus trips and campground stays are available beginning December 1 of the year before your trip.

  1. Make bus and campground reservations online. This is the fastest way to make reservations.
  2. Call 1-800 622-7275 (U.S. and Canada) or 907 272-7275 (international and Anchorage local)
  3. In person at the Denali Bus Depot

Campground Fees

Campground fees apply for camping in developed campgrounds. Backcountry camping requires a free permit.

There are six developed campgrounds in Denali. Some are open to tents only and others can accommodate RVs up to 40' in length.

Summer (mid-May through mid-September) reservations can be made at www.reservedenali.com. Senior Pass and Access Pass holders receive 50% off nightly camping fees.

Mountaineering Fees

Climbing Denali or Mount Foraker requires advance registration and a pre-paid mountaineering fee.

Other Permits

Learn about other activities that may require a permit - such as concession contracts, commercial use authorizations, commercial filming and still photography permits, and special-use permits.
