Park Brochure Formats

Fort Scott's park map and guide is available in several formats: printed brochure, braille booklet, audio-only audio description, and text-only audio description.

Printed Brochure and Braille Booklet

To help you plan your trip, we can mail you Fort Scott's printed brochure. To make a request, call (620) 233-0310 or email us (fosc_interpretation@nps.gov). If you prefer to pick your brochures up, both are available year-round at Fort Scott's Visitor Center in the Post Hospital or you can download a .BRF file of the park brochure. The braille version is intended for use during your visit. Note that the braille version covers most but not all of the brochure content, and it does not include a driving map. For complete information, we recommend using the park's audio-described version.

Audio Description

In partnership with UniDescription, Fort Scott National Historic Site created an audio described version of the park brochure. It is available for use on Apple and Android smartphones through the UniDescription app. When on the app, search for “Fort Scott National Historic Site – Kansas.” Fort Scott's audio described park brochure was created to be compatible with most screen reading software. If you have an issue accessing the audio-described park brochure, reach out to us at fosc_interpretation@nps.gov.
