No entrance pass required
An entrance pass is not required to access Gates Of The Arctic National Park & Preserve. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money. 2025 Free Entrance Days in the National ParksCome experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). No entrance fees or registration are required to enter the park; however visitors are requested to stop at one of the park's visitor centers to attend a backcountry orientation. During an orientation you can get valuable information about current weather, fire and wildlife alerts, backcountry safety, bear safety and Leave No Trace camping techniques. NOTE: Commercial transporters are required to ensure that all of their clients get the opportunity to receive a backcountry orientation from park rangers prior to entering the park and preserve. Please take a moment to complete our voluntary registration form prior to your trip into the backcountry. |
