Doing Business With The Park

 

If you are interested in conducting business or special activities within Great Basin National Park, you may be required to apply for an obtain a Permit or Commercial Use Authorization (CUA).

Special Use Permits

Special Use Permits are required for nontraditional or unusual uses and activities, such as weddings or special events.

Filming & Photography Permits

Filming and Photography permits and rules have changed due to Section 125 of the EXPLORE Act (Public Law 118-234). Read about updated permitting processes and rules at our Filming Permits and After Hours Cave Photography pages.

Commercial Use Authorization

Commercial Use Authorizations are required of all operators who provide any and all goods, activities, agreements or other services to the general public which take place, at least in part, in the park. This includes, but is not limited to, those providing commercial private tours of the park, workshops, or guided recreation like climbing or backpacking trips.

Research Permits

Those interested in conducting research activities in Great Basin National Park must apply for and obtain a Research Permit.

    Great Basin is home to over 40 caves hidden away underground. Wild caving permits are available for experienced cavers upon request.
