NPS Basic RegulationsBiking of any kind is only allowed on roads in the park, with the exception of the trail between Baker and the Great Basin Visitor Center (0.2mi). Bicycling is not allowed on trails. Helmets are strongly recommended. CampingBikers to the park will generally find easy sites to occupy in the Baker Creek Campground where sites #29-32 are walk-in only, perfect for those without a vehicle. Rates are the same as any other campsite. Nearby OpportunitiesSacramento Pass Recreation Area just north of the park on Hwy 6/50 is a premier destination in White Pine County for mountain biking, along with a free campground. Otherwise, roads throughout Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and adjoining BLM lands are full of opportunities for all skill levels with enough research. |
