The Jimmy Carter National Historical Park, situated in Plains, Georgia, is a tribute to the legacy and history of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States. This small, rural community holds special significance as the hometown of Jimmy Carter, and the park encompasses several significant locations associated with his life. These include Plains High School, where Carter attended and graduated, the campaign headquarters used during his 1976 presidential campaign, and the boyhood home and farm where Jimmy Carter spent his formative years.

Hours of Operation

The park grounds and trails are open daily except New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Hours change seasonally. See Operating Hours & Seasons below for detailed information.
