Park Facilities - Current Status

The following areas are open 7 days a week:

Johnson City — 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

• Visitor Center Restrooms
• Visitor Center exhibits and information desk
• Park bookstore
• Johnson City Visitor Center Movie Theater. Films available upon request:
  • Park Orientation Film (15 minutes)
  • Our Heart's Home - A history of the LBJ Ranch (15 minutes)
  • LBJ the President (30 minutes)
  • Lady Bird Johnson (30 minutes)
• Boyhood Home - tours are free and begin from the visitor center
  • 10:00 am
  • 11:00 am
  • 1:00 pm
  • 2:00 pm
• Johnson Settlement Event Center exhibits and restrooms
• Johnson Settlement and trails are open sunrise to sunset daily

LBJ Ranch —Inbound gate opens at 9:00 am and closes at 4:30 pm. Exit gate closes at 5:00 pm.

Exhibits and Grounds open include:

• LBJ Ranch Driving Tour— Obtain driving permit at Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site
• Junction School
  • Free Ranger talk at 11:30 am
• Birthplace
  • Temporary Restrooms
• Family Cemetery (private cemetery, able to view from outside)
• Show Barn
  • Free Ranger talk at 2:30 pm

The Texas White House Complex is closed. Sites include: 

• Texas White House
• Hangar Visitor Center
• Lockheed JetStar
