Fees & Passes

Entry to the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller grounds is free of charge. Ranger-led programs require a fee and must be purchased in advance of your visit.

Ranger-Led Programs

Fees for guided tours of the Mansion are:

• Adults (age 16-61) - $9
• Seniors (age 62 and over) - $5
• Children (age 15 and under) - $1

Reservations are highly recommended. Each Mansion program is limited to 12 persons. Other programs also may have limited enrollment. Reservations may be made online at Recreation.gov, calling 802-457-3368 ext. 222, or in person at the Carriage Barn Visitor Center. Please note that the park operates a cashless system and only accepts credit cards.

Ticket prices include a $1 non-refundable reservation fee charged by Recreation.gov. This fee is charged for both online and on-site reservations. Cancellations must be made at least two hours prior to the tour to be refunded the cost of the ticket. The $1 reservation fee cannot be refunded in the event of a cancellation.

All tour groups (including Commercial Bus tour groups) are charged $9 per individual. Large groups (12+) are required to contact the park at 802-457-3368 x0 well in advance to make arrangements.

"America the Beautiful" Passes

National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes are not available for purchase at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller because the park does not charge an entrance fee.

Interagency passes, including the Senior Pass, do not apply to ranger-led programs or mansion tours. Passes are available wherever a fee is required for admission, including Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park in Cornish, NH (late May - late October). Locate additional federal recreation sites that issue these passes or purchase them only at the USGS Store.

Fee-Free Days

Fee-free days throughout the National Park Service provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite. Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller does not charge an entrance fee any day of the year.

2025 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

• Thursday, January 9 — National Day of Mourning for President James Earl Carter Jr.
• Monday, January 20 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Saturday, April 19 — First Day of National Park Week
• Thursday, June 19 — Juneteenth National Independence Day
• Monday, August 4 — Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
• Saturday, September 27 — National Public Lands Day
• Tuesday, November 11 — Veterans Day

Winter Trail Usage

The Woodstock Resort Corporation holds an easement on all of the park's carriage roads and trails for winter use. The Woodstock Inn & Resort Nordic Center maintains and grooms over 12 miles of park trails as part of its larger Nordic trail network. To use these trails for skiing and snowshoeing, you must have a valid day ticket or season pass. Passes can be purchased at the Nordic Center on Route 106.
