Visit Montezuma Castle National Monument and witness the incredible legacy of a people who thrived in the Verde Valley over 600 years ago. Visit the museum and walk the trail through a scenic sycamore grove at the base of towering limestone cliffs. Enjoy your lunch in our picnic area along the shore of Beaver Creek.

Check out special events and what kids can do while visiting! You can also visit Montezuma Well, 11 miles to the northeast.

Take A Hike!

The park offers a 0.3 mile loop trail around the site. The trail is paved, wheelchair accessible, and mostly shaded! Along the trail you will be able to see Montezuma Castle and Castle A, a dwelling that burned down in the late 1300s.

After the hike, visit the bookstore and museum to learn more about this site and other cultural sites around the area.
