To Report an Emergency

To report an emergency inside North Cascades National Park: Call 911 to report a law enforcement, fire, or medical emergency.

Example of an emergency:

  • There is a situation that could, or does, pose a danger to life, property, or both (Search and Rescue incident, motor vehicle collision, etc.).
  • There is a suspicious activity involving a person(s) or vehicle that appears to have criminal intent.
  • Any situation that requires immediate response.

To contact a Law Enforcement Ranger for a non-emergency:

If a crime, medical emergency, or fire is happening right now call 911. Call 360-854-7255 or use the "Law Enforcement" email above to report a non-emergency or request a call back from an officer. Response time will be within 24-48 hours.

Example of a non-emergency:

  • There is no immediate threat to life safety or property.
  • You do not need immediate police, fire, or medical response.

This phone number or email can be used to request police reports or to talk to a Law Enforcement Ranger about non-emergency issues inside North Cascades National Park.

Any incident occurring on State Route 20 must be reported to WA State Patrol. Call 911 for an emergency.

Any Incident occurring in the towns of Newhalem or Diablo must be reported to Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office. Call 911 for an emergency.
