Pulltite Campground to Partially Re-open on April 15, 2025

Alley Spring and Big Spring Campgrounds are closed due to weather. The following campgrounds remain closed pending repairs: Pulltite, Cedar Grove, Dee Murray, Akers, Sinking Creek, Broadfoot, and Jerktail. All other campgrounds are open as of 1/2/2025.Waymeyer and Pin Oak River Access Temporarily Closed
Waymeyer and Pin Oak are blocked by a large number of fallen trees. The river access will be temporarily unavailable while crews clear the road.more

Campground Reservation Changes
As of January 1, 2025, ALL developed campsites will be available through reservation ONLY. These include Pulltite, Round Spring, Alley Spring, Big Spring, Two Rivers, and Akers. Reservations must be made through recreation.gov (online or by calling).moreClosure of Pulltite Cabin: Effective 07/19/23 until further notice
Around the Pulltite Cabin, a 100’ perimeter extending in all directions has been closed to the public. Closure of the area is deemed necessary as a large tree has fallen on the structure, causing damage.moreScan & Pay Required for Backcountry Campgrounds
Starting April 15, 2025, "backcountry" campgrounds will only accept payment through Scan & Pay, on the recreation.gov mobile app. While the app works offline, visitors should download the app and set up their account beforehand. Cell service is limited.more
