Alicia Wilson

Alicia is a self-taught artist who channels her creativity to capture human emotions, often through the personification of nature. Her work, featured at the Redwood National and State Parks visitor centers, on product labels, online, at local exhibitions, and in private collections, reflects her deep, warm approach to art.

Primarily working with acrylics, Alicia also explores photography, oil, mixed media, clay, and occasionally incorporates desert sands, charred stumps, or flowers within her reach.

Alicia’s art often delves into life transitions, nature’s quirks, and the feminine journey. Her travels across 48 of the 50 United States inspire her work, infusing it with the beauty of diverse landscapes. A significant aspect of her journey involves leading collaborative art projects, fostering a supportive environment for artistic exploration and specifically she led small gatherings where art is the path to help women accept and appreciate their diverse bodies. Over the past decade, Alicia has been dedicated to helping local youth celebrate their creativity with options to introduce their work in public exhibitions. In addition she’s led small gatherings where painting is the therapeutic process to help women love and connect with their diverse bodies.

Alicia’s process is influenced by Van Gogh’s approach to paint mixing and allowing emotions to guide the flow of her work.

Jenny Hersh

Jenny Hersh is an artist and educator with roots in the East Coast but always on the move to wherever art, community and teaching take her. While she has a background in sculpture and printmaking, she is currently deepening her practice of hand cut paper works. She is excited to explore parallels between the delicate and striking medium of cut paper and the fragile and awe inspiring ecosystems in the Redwoods National and State Parks.
