Permits

Some activities and events require a Special Use Permit. If you are interested in seeking a permit, please follow these procedures:

  1. Call the park to discuss your permit request at 573-880-7189
  2. When prompted by park staff, please complete the application form and mail it with fee to:

Group Reservations

We welcome all types of groups to visit and explore the history of Ste. Genevieve with us! If you're a teacher planning a school field trip, we encourage you to visit our Education page for planning resources and information.

Experience our colonial-era homes through a ranger-led program! Groups of 15 or more people are required to make advance reservations for our programs. Advance reservations are not available for groups with fewer than 15 people. However, if your group consists of fewer than 15, we encourage you to join one of our general public programs. For more details, please refer to our calendar.

What to Expect

  • Cost: All programs are FREE!
  • Group Size:
    • We can accommodate groups of 15-60 people* per time slot.
    • *Friday and Saturday time slots accommodate a maximum of 60 people.
    • *Thursday and Sunday time slots accommodate a maximum of 20 people.
    • If your group exceeds 60 people, reservations for additional time slots will be necessary. Large groups will be divided into smaller groups of up to 20 people for access to historic structures.
  • Length of Visit: 2.5 hours.
  • Activities: Up to three 20-minute activities including:
    • Ranger-led program at the Jean Baptiste Vallé House
    • Ranger-led program at Green Tree Tavern
    • Ste. Genevieve Welcome Center, where visitors can watch a park film.
  • Accessibility: Programs require climbing stairs and walking approximately 0.5 miles total between historic houses. Accommodations are available for individuals with accessibility needs. For more information, visit our Accessibility page.
 
Schedule of the seven days a week with colored squares indicating group tour availability. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday say no tours, Thursday and Sunday are yellow and say limited tours, and Friday and Saturday are green and say tours available.

Scheduling

Group reservations are available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from March 1st to November 15th. We offer morning and afternoon time slots at 9:30 AM or 1:00 PM. Please note that all reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

To reserve your spot, email us or call 573-880-7189. Please have the following information ready:

  • Group/Organization Type
  • Point of Contact Name (First / Last)
  • Contact Information (Phone number and Email address)
  • Group/Organization Name
  • Preferred Arrival Date(s)
  • Preferred Arrival Time (AM / PM)
  • # of Adults (13 & Over)
  • # of Children (12 & Under)
  • How will you be arriving? (Bus / Shuttle, Passenger Van, Individual Cars / Car Pooling, Other)
  • Special requests, accessibility needs, or questions about your visit? (Please specify)

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your reservation, call 573-880-7189 as soon as possible. Programs may be canceled by the park due to inclement weather. In this case, we will contact you to discuss rescheduling options. If weather conditions are a concern, don’t hesitate to call us. Programs may be rescheduled to a later date; however, we cannot guarantee a new date. Reservations will be canceled for groups that are more than 30 minutes late without prior contact.
