Come Explore Our Youth and Young Adult Programs!

The National Park Service is dedicated to engaging and connecting America’s youth and young adults to our more than 400 national parks and programs through fun recreational, educational, vocational, and volunteer service opportunities. Youth and young adults up to age 30 and veterans 35 years old or younger are invited to discover and take part in developmental programs and activities designed to engage various age groups.  

These programs and activities allow participants to: 

  • Explore their national parks

  • Participate in fun educational and recreational activities

  • Give back through volunteer service  

  • Build skills through paid internships and fellowships 

  • Create pathways to begin a career in public service
