Start at the Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center. Pick up a park brochure, ticket for the Casemate Museum, and a self-guiding walking tour. Stamp your Passport to Your National Parks. Kids can get their Junior Ranger activity book.
Plan your visit with the information desk staff. See exhibits to learn about the fortification and history of the monument. View the 15-minute film that highlights over 400 years of history.
Guided tours start at the Visitor & Education Center. Check the calendar for tours and times. Brochures are available outside the Visitor & Education Center after hours.
The Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center is a collaboration between the Fort Monroe Authority, City of Hampton, and the National Park Service.
The Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center is at 30 Ingalls Road in Fort Monroe, Virginia. Take exit 267 off I-64 in Virginia to Fort Monroe.
The Visitor & Education Center has a wheelchair ramp to the entrance on left side of the building. There is an elevator inside the building. Fort Monroe Authority offers a wheelchair or scooter to borrow on request.
